The role:

We are excited to be on the hunt for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as our next Analytics Engineer. 

In this role, you will maintain and optimize our data infrastructure, ensuring high-quality, reliable data for analysts. You’ll work across SQL, Python, and cloud-based data tools to support reporting, migrations, and ongoing analytics needs, directly enabling faster insights and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Attending weekly team meetings to sync on priorities and blockers
• Working through a weekly task list balanced with ad-hoc requests
• Rebuilding and migrating legacy SQL queries to improve performance and maintainability
• Maintaining and extending data models in Dataform to serve business analytics needs
• Contributing to our custom Python orchestration tool 
• Ensuring data quality and integrity across our BigQuery data warehouse
• Collaborating with analysts to understand their needs and support them with reliable data
• Documenting your work and contributing to our knowledge base

Qualifications:

Strong Python skills, including working with data pipelines and Flask-based orchestration tools
• Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance
• Understanding of technical debt and balancing quick delivery with maintainable solutions
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, GCP preferred; AWS/Azure transferable)
• Familiarity with data transformation frameworks (Dataform or dbt)
• Knowledge of version control best practices (Git workflows, code review)
